The first burn ritual
The first flame is essential. Let the wax melt slowly across the entire surface, reaching the edges of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even, graceful burn over time. Allow 2 to 3 hours—never more.
Flame balance
Before each relight, gently trim the wick to about 5 mm (¼ inch). A well-kept wick creates a steady, elegant flame and helps minimize smoke. It preserves the purity of both fragrance and wax.
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts and flammable materials. Harmony begins with the environment.
Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Always extinguish before leaving the room.
- If the flame grows too high: extinguish, let cool, then trim the wick before relighting.
Extinguish with elegance
To preserve the quality of your artisanal candle, use a snuffer. You may also gently dip the wick into the melted wax, then straighten it. Avoid blowing directly on the flame—the gesture matters as much as the result.
After the last glow
